Variable Geometry Turbo

A variable geometry turbo also known as variable turbine geometry turbo / VTG turbo allows significant flexibility regarding boost pressure. Guide vanes located at the turbine inlet are usually used to adjust the turbine inlet flow angle and speed in order to enable a high pressure ratio even at low engine speeds.

sa-charging solutions provides a turbine map with different guide vane positions. The data sets can be used directly in all established 1-D engine process simulations codes to describe the behavior of a variable geometry turbo.
